Demons Rise

Wow. Post-update, this game is, simpy put, fantastic. EVERYTHING that was done to the game; tweaks, balancing, additions, graphical changes - theyre all great. Before the update, this game was already very recommendable, but now after this latest update, theres a pretty good chance this will wind up on a LOT of tactical/strategy RPG fans best of lists. Its like a mixture of XCOM and something from the Warhammer universe, but totally its own beast. You can build your own squad from a great selection of characters (30 of them!!) or play with a pre-built squad from one of the 4 warbands of the land. Youre able to patrol ruins to search for loot and make sure your characters are strong enough for the next quest battle, which helps immensely if you get stuck on a quest level. I could go on and on and on... but I dont think people really want to read iTunes reviews that are as long as blog or website reviews... so Ill just say this...

I am a HUGE SRPG fan, especially on my iDevice. Demons Rise is #4 on my favorite SRPG list (for any and all gaming consoles). If youre a fan of the genre, you should pick it up. If youre a fan of fantasy RPGs, and curious about the tactical side of the RPG genre, this would be a fantastic game to introduce you to that. Its very accessable, but also allows for quite a bit of depth with character equips, the way your squad can play off one another, a cover system and more, keeping this SRPG veteran very, VERY happy.
